This week, we explore one of the boldest prayers recorded in Scripture as Joshua asks God to do what seemed impossible: make the sun stand still. His prayer reveals a faith that was willing to ask God for something extraordinary.
Courageous faith doesn’t mean assuming God will give us everything we ask for; it means trusting His character, His promises, and His will enough to ask boldly and leave the answer in His hands. Joshua reminds us that we serve a God who is not limited by our circumstances, and that should change the way we pray. Are fear and doubt keeping you from bringing your biggest requests before God?

In this program, we continue our journey through Joshua as we look at the fall of Jericho and what it teaches us about courage, faith, and obedience. Faced with a fortified city that seemed impossible to overcome, Joshua and the Israelites were called to trust God’s promise and follow His instructions, even when they could not see how the outcome would unfold.
The story of Jericho reminds us that faith is more than simply believing the right things, it means moving forward in obedience to what God has called us to do. Fear can make the obstacles before us seem bigger than God, but courage begins when we trust that God is already at work and take the next step of faith. And ultimately, the victory at Jericho was not about walls falling, but about people being rescued. As followers of Christ, we are called to move beyond the walls that intimidate us and courageously go where God leads, because there are people who need to hear the hope of Jesus.
