Summer 2026 - The Listen

From Rural Villages to Crowded Cities

As the media landscape continues to change around the world, one thing remains the same: people still need the Gospel. At Gospel Broadcasting Mission, we are committed to meeting people where they are, whether through traditional radio broadcasts in remote villages or digital platforms reaching growing urban populations.

In many rural regions, radio is still the only reliable way people can hear the Word of God. Internet access is limited, communication networks are weak, and isolation remains a daily reality. Matthew, one of our team leaders in Myanmar (pictured here) recently shared: “There are thousands of people waiting every day for the radio program. It means so much to them because it is often the only way they can hear the Word of God.”

For many listeners, these broadcasts are more than radio programs, they are spiritual lifelines. At the same time, cities and younger generations are increasingly connected through phones and digital media. Yet in many languages, digital Christ-centered content is still extremely limited. That is why we continue investing in both radio and digital broadcasting, delivering Gospel-centered teaching, worship, and programming across the airwaves and online platforms so people can hear the message of Christ wherever they are. As Matthew explained: “Radio reaches the rural regions, but our online broadcasting is for those in cities and abroad. Both are needed so more people can hear the Gospel.”

A Word From Our Director

When the apostle Paul wrote his first letter to the church in Corinth, he was ministering in the city of Ephesus. Though he deeply desired to visit the Corinthians, and even had plans to spend time with them if the Lord allowed, he recognized that God had placed him exactly where he needed to be for that season. Paul wrote: “In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus until the Festival of Pentecost. There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.” - 1Corinthians 16:8–9 (NLT)

Paul could see that the harvest in Ephesus was ripe. God had opened a door for ministry, and despite opposition and adversity, there was still important work to be done. The opportunity before him was not something he manufactured on his own, it was something God Himself had orchestrated. Friends, we are seeing the Lord do the very same thing today within our ministry.

Over the last three months alone, we have established two new digital broadcasts with programming already streaming, and a third program in production now. These efforts are led by our native teams on the ground who are faithfully ministering in regions where less than 1% of the population knows Christ. And God is already working.

One of our new teams serving among the U* people in Central Asia has been producing programs that address some of life’s deepest questions. These thought-provoking messages point listeners to truth by answering each question directly from Scripture and continually directing hearts toward Jesus Christ. As these programs are being shared online, listeners are already reaching out to our team thanking them and even asking how they can receive a Bible of their own.

At the same time, our new speaker (pictured below) working among the unreached Thai people, has begun streaming Gospel-centered programs. We have seen thousands of viewers and listeners already, with one listener contacting our team and saying “I want to know what God is truly like.” People are searching and the Gospel is being proclaimed!

These are more than encouraging stories. They are evidence that God is opening doors, stirring hearts, and drawing people to Himself through these new outreach efforts. As we prepare to launch ministry among additional unreached people groups this year, we invite you to pray, give, and partner with us in this mission.

To sustain these newly established broadcasts and expand outreach into two additional unreached people groups, we still need to raise $70,000. The opportunities before us are real, the harvest is ready, and now is the time to step forward in faith together. Would you consider investing in one of our ministry opportunities listed below? To God be the glory!

Opportunities to Make an Eternal Impact

The need for Christ-centered radio and media programming has never been greater. These ministry opportunities represent strategic ways for you to help bring the Gospel to people still waiting to hear.

Every Gift Matters. Every Broadcast Matters. Every Listener Matters. Every Soul for Eternity Matters!

Sharing the Mission Together

Over the past several months, we have had the opportunity to visit churches and share how God is using radio and digital media to reach people with the Gospel around the world. It has been incredibly encouraging to see believers engage with the mission, pray for unreached people groups, and share stories of lives being impacted through the ministry.

These visits are more than presentations, they are opportunities to build partnerships in the Great Commission and help everyone see how they can play a role in taking the hope of Christ to places many may never physically go. Each conversation and connection serves as a reminder that the work of the Gospel is never done alone. Churches, individuals, and ministry partners all play a vital role in helping bring Christ-centered programming to people who may otherwise never hear.

We are always grateful for opportunities to connect with churches, small groups, and individuals to share what God is doing through the ministry and the need for pursuing those who are urgently waiting to hear. Let us know if we can visit you!

The Christians Hour

During the month of July, The Christians Hour will present an encouraging four-part series titled Some Things Never Change. This inspiring series reminds us that while seasons, people, and culture continually change, God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. Through this series you will be encouraged by the reliability of God’s Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, the enduring strength of Christ’s Church, and the saving hope found only in Jesus.

Don’t miss these impactful 15 and 30 minute messages, designed to strengthen your faith and deepen your walk with Jesus. You can listen to this series HERE, by tuning in to one of our radio affiliates, or searching for “The Christians Hour” on your favorite podcast platform. A new episode is released every week!

New Ways to Give

While online giving and mailed in gifts remain the easiest and most common ways to support the ministry, we are excited to now offer additional giving options for those looking to give in other meaningful and strategic ways.

  • Gifts of Stock & Other Non-Cash Assets — Donating appreciated stocks, securities, or other non-cash assets can be a powerful and tax-efficient way to partner.

  • Vehicle Donations — Cars, trucks, and other vehicles, in any condition, can be donated to help provide funding that advances the ministry.

To learn more about either of these options or to see all the ways you can partner with us, visit our giving page and if you have any questions, CONTACT our giving team.
